The Allentown Memorial Day Parade has always had a place close to my heart, as Allentown is where I grew up and where my parents still live. The Allentown Lions Club, an organization in which my father is a member, puts on this community event every year and it brings together the town, as well as marching bands, civic organizations, public safety groups, and more. One of the most well-known parts of the parade is the 1926 Model T that my grandfather owned. Upon his passing in 2012, my uncle took over the tradition of driving it, and while it isn’t the best looking car (not by a long shot), it is the car everyone remembers year after year.
